3-D Information Ocean

This project aims to form an ocean information resource pool. The marine information resource pool including data products at the global scale, and the establishment of a basic global ocean data service system. While the regional advantages of information integration and scientific research on the two strategic points of “China offshore” and “Two oceans and one sea”. Through this project,we will build an integrated, real-time and open marine science database; breakthrough critical data processing methods (quality control, gridding, data extraction and inversion, etc.) and develop related data products. The researchers can use this platform for an in-depth analysis of the relations between the natural resources and ecological data, and facilitate scientific discoveries. The projects also aims to construct a marine science visualization platform with near real-time display, dynamic simulation and scenario analysis, to  popularize scientific research and big earth data analysis and resources; and to provide an intelligent decision-making platform for marine management, resource exploitation, disaster prevention and mitigation, etc.
